MARJORAM
Marjoram is a perennial herb belonging to the mint family. It has been widely cultivated in European countries for centuries for its high edible and medicinal value. Marjoram has high requirements for planting. Because it is afraid of winter cold and is not tolerant of waterlogging, cultivation requires sufficient sunlight and well-drained soil.
We harvest marjoram leaves in mid to late summer, when the leaves have grown to their mature size and are lush green. We take the whole top part of the plant, pick it and send it to Jurlique's drying room for natural drying.
Once air-dried, the leaves fall off the stem on their own, leaving only the robust leaves to be used. Through our exclusive Bio-Intrinsic™ extraction technology, we obtain extracts from marjoram leaves for use in Jurlique's product range.
Skincare efficacy: Marjoram leaf extract has excellent purifying properties.
